Public Defecation

I once went to a Dave Sedaris book signing where he spoke about people at the Gap and Target who complained to him that they often find poop in the dressing rooms. Like for real steaming piles of shite. Sometimes, the poor Target employees would even find the little brown packages in the middle of those big circular racks. Mr. Sedaris explained that he once thought the stories were rumors. But, as he travels the country meeting people at all of his appearances, he has encountered many employees or former employees of various clothing retailers who have all stumbled upon poop at their respective workplaces. I thought it was fiction at best, and at worst, something that only happens to other people. Apparently, public defecation is an epidemic and it has finally come knocking at my door.

Last night, someone got into our laundry room at the apartments and pooped in the washing machine. So what the heck do we do now? I don't want to clean it up and I feel bad about asking anyone else to do it. Should we call the laundry machine repair people? Should we wait till it dries and sweep it out? Even then, how can we ever be sure that it's all gone? Why would anyone want to poop in a washing machine?? Why would anyone want to poop anywhere other than a toilet or a bush????

My aunt once pooped under a durian tree when one of the fruits fell off and and nearly killed her. She was lucky it only grazed her arse though. One more inch to the right and she would have been a goner... a goner atop a pile of poop. I hope any of you who are reading this who are considering or have committed the act of public defecation take note. The next time you poop where you shouldn't, God will throw a durian at your head.
